Mercer Music at Capricorn
Capricorn Sound Studios is part of Mercer Music at Capricorn, which opened in 2020 after a $4.7 million restoration by Mercer University. The 20,000-square-foot, multi-purpose music venue also includes a museum with artifacts and interactive exhibits that tell the story of Capricorn and its impact on Macon and the world; a music incubator with 12 rehearsal/band rooms; and offices, co-working space and a conference center. Mercer Music at Capricorn is home to the music production and music business degrees programs in the University’s Townsend School of Music.
